Chapter 185: Birth of the Flower Tree World
Chapter 185: Birth of the Flower Tree World
Just now, Shinji's space transfer had forcibly dragged them into another dimension before they could even react. That alone had already intimidated Black Sperm.
Now, all of his clones were inside this space. Not a single cell had been left behind in the original world. Unless Shinji was defeated, there was no way to escape.
For Black Sperm, the risk was far too high. If he couldn't win, he'd be finished completely. So he had no intention of gambling his life. For the time being, he could let those stubborn cadres test Shinji's strength for him.
"Black Sperm?! Why did you retreat? Shouldn't you be resisting that human with us?" Gouketsu demanded, baffled at his withdrawal to the back.
"My stomach hurts today. Not really fit for battle. You guys, do your best," Black Sperm said, lips curling into a smirk, giving an excuse even he didn't fully believe.
"Forget him. One more or less won't make a difference. If we attack together, how can we not bring down one human?" Homeless Emperor dismissed him with disdain, brimming with confidence in his own power.
"True. A coward like that is useless anyway," Gouketsu added, seeming relieved.
In truth, Black Sperm's strength represented the very face of the Monster Association. He simply never revealed his full power, leaving the others thinking his only ability was having "a few extra cells."
"Enough chatter. Attack already," Elder Centipede said, hardly able to wait. The only reason he had cooperated with the Monster Association was to take revenge on Blast. Now Shinji wanted to forbid harming humans? There was no way he'd accept that.
"Hah, a bunch of fools. Even if you manage to beat that human, the best you'll get is mutual destruction. At that point, I'll swoop in and reap the spoils," Black Sperm sneered inwardly.
At that moment, Elder Centipede struck first.
"Centipede Grand March!"
Right off the bat, he unleashed his ultimate move, showing that even he dared not take Shinji lightly. But Elder Centipede had gravely misjudged Shinji's true strength.
"Wood Style: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees!"
The instant Shinji formed the hand seals, countless vines erupted from the ground, spreading into a vast forest-like domain. Enormous flowers bloomed atop them.
The colossal vines constricted the monsters, while the flowers released pollen that induced unconsciousness. Demon-level and Tiger-level monsters collapsed almost immediately under the toxin, fainting one after another.
Except for the Dragon-level cadres, every other monster was taken out in an instant. Though not killed, losing the ability to fight was no different from defeat.
Even Elder Centipede, in the midst of performing "Centipede Grand March," was crushed under countless vines. His body was bound tighter and tighter until he could no longer move.
At this moment, Shinji formed another set of seals, three different from the Susanoo sequence.
"Heavenly Obstacle Quaking Star!"
A massive meteor tore through the clouds, plummeting straight toward the Flower Tree World below.
The monsters who had fainted were already transferred out of the Origin Sphere Space by Shinji, leaving only the Dragon-level cadres to face Heavenly Obstacle Quaking Star head-on. Only Black Sperm, who had retreated far enough away, wasn't moved out along with the others.
Seeing them, Shinji grinned, 'Even Tatsumaki found dealing with this technique difficult. How could these Dragon-level monsters, who weren't even on her level, possibly withstand it?'
"What the hell is that thing? Did he just drag down a meteor?"
"With a meteor that size, is he trying to die together with us?!"
"Forget the nonsense! Attack the meteor, now!"
The cadres panicked, launching attacks at the falling star. But they were pinned down by the colossal vines and were still inhaling the constant stream of pollen. Staying conscious was already impressive, much less gathering strength to counterattack.
Take Homeless Emperor, for example, a classic glass cannon. He collapsed before he could even start. After inhaling enough pollen, he lay peacefully on the ground, fast asleep. His power came entirely from the "god" that had granted him those energy orbs. His body itself wasn't much different from a regular human.
Other than him, the only ones with proper anti-air abilities were Homeless Emperor and Overgrown Rover.
"Rover! Homeless Emperor! Hurry up and hit that meteor!" Gouketsu shouted desperately at them.
Meanwhile, Black Sperm, watching from afar, felt nothing but relief. Lucky him, he hadn't been foolish enough to openly resist Shinji like those others. Otherwise, he'd be taking the meteor right now too. It might not kill him outright, but it would cost him countless cells. Replacing them would require who-knows-how-much protein intake.
Once the other cadres fell, he alone would remain standing, the most loyal subordinate in name and deed. And honestly, Shinji's rule of not harming humans wasn't a big problem. Black Sperm hadn't joined the Monster Association to kill humans anyway. He would bide his time, grow stronger, and one day surpass Shinji. His faith in his infinite growth ability was unshakable.
If ten trillion cells weren't enough, he'd grow twenty trillion. If twenty trillion weren't enough, then fifty trillion. If fifty still weren't enough, then a hundred trillion. He had all the time in the world to outlast Shinji.
Little did he know that what he had seen so far was only the tip of Shinji's iceberg of power. Shinji hadn't even activated his Ten-Tails Jinchuriki form. He was casually using only the Rinnegan and Wood Release.
...
Homeless Emperor didn't understand Gouketsu's words, but sensing the meteor's threat, he instinctively launched an attack.
At the same time, Overgrown Rover, who could understand human speech, opened his jaws and fired a destructive heat blast, alongside Homeless Emperor's super-pressurized water jet.
Boom!
The meteor cracked slightly under the impact, wobbling a little, but its fall didn't slow down much. Overgrown Rover and Homeless Emperor kept firing relentlessly. At the last moment before it hit, they finally managed to shatter it. Both were among the stronger class of Dragon-level monsters, and the summoned meteor wasn't much harder than ordinary rock. They definitely had the ability to break it.
"Did we do it? What a close call! Let's hurry and break free from these vines!"
"These vines are bad enough, but those flowers keep spewing toxins too. It's wrecking my condition."
"I'll try to carve a way out. Everyone else, cover me!"
What they didn't expect was that a second, even larger meteor was already on its way.
